Britax products are covered against faulty material and workmanship when used under normal conditions.  In the unlikely case that you find any material or workmansip that affects the normal operation of your Britax product, we will repair or replace the product within the 12month warray period from date of purchase.

We require proof of purchase to validate your warranty claim. Without this information we are unable to validate the date of purchase or if in fact it has been purchased first hand. Rental, hire or commercial use products are not covered by our warranty. Our warranties are non-transferrable across multiple owners.

Yes, if you apply online the extra warranty will be extended to you. Should you apply at any time within the 10 year time frame the warranty will be extended however we encourage you to apply at time of purchase to reduce the risk of losing your proof of purchase and to benefit from additional communication with Britax.

Yes, if you have purchased your car seat within the last 10 years and we can find this registration within our data. If we cannot find your details we will need for you to provide your proof of purchase to validate your registration.

The 10 year warranty covers all Britax Safe-n-Sound injection moulded car seats - seat moulding, harness and fittings.

To make a warranty claim, please contact email customer service team at nzoffice@britax.com. You will be required to: 

  • Return the product to the place of purchase or to a designated repair agent; 
  • Present your receipt as proof of purchase; 
  • Identify the defect in the product; and 
  • Present the product for inspection on request. 
  • Britax will then advise you whether the product is covered by the warranty.

In the event that a replacement product or part is no longer available, Britax reserves the right to provide a suitable alternative.

A proof of purchase is required for warranty to apply. Our express warranties are non-transferrable across multiple users.
