It is through this dedication that Britax in the United States - in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has initiated a voluntary recall in USA for strollers fitted with the Click & Go receivers.

Description of Hazard:

Britax, in the United States, has received reports of damaged Click & Go receiver mounts on the stroller frame, which can cause the attached Britax B-Safe infant car seat to disengage unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard. If the infant car seat falls to the ground, infants can sustain injuries, such as scratches, bruises, and/or bumps to the head. There are no reports outside of the United States and Canada.

Britax Childcare (NZ) Pty Ltd has imported a small number of the strollers involved as well as the Britax B-Safe Infant Car Seat, Click & Go Stroller Frame and Click & Go receivers. Accordingly Britax Childcare (NZ) is also conducting a recall of these units sold in New Zealand. A free remedy kit will be available.

NOTE: You can continue to safely use the affected strollers without the B-Safe infant car seat attached. You can continue to safely use the B-Safe infant carrier without attaching it to an affected stroller. BRITAX CLICKTIGHT CONVERTIBLE CAR SEAT RECALL

Click here to fill out product recall form.

Britax Child Safety, Inc., in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Transport Canada, is conducting a recall of certain Advocate ClickTight, Boulevard ClickTight, and Marathon ClickTight model convertible car seats.  The affected models were manufactured between August 1, 2014 and July 29, 2015 may contain a defect with the harness adjuster button (red), which would pose a safety hazard.  Britax Childcare New Zealand is recalling car seats affect by the USA recall . In New Zealand the car seats and model numbers included in this recall are identified in the table below.

E9LT95Q - ADVOCATE CT US CIRCA
E9LT71Q - MARATHON CT US, COWMOOFLAGE
E9LT75R - MARATHON CT US, VERVE
E9LT85Q - BOULEVARD CT US, CIRCA

These models only started sale in New Zealand in April 2015.

ClickTight care seats identified by green spot labels beside the serial number labels at the front of the seat have been inspected and are not affected by the recall.

In a continued commitment to child passenger safety, Britax has determined that certain ClickTight model convertible car seats may contain a defect with the harness adjuster button, which would pose a safety hazard. The harness adjuster button may remain down in the “release” position after the harness is tightened. This will enable the shoulder harnesses to loosen from a child’s movements while secured in the seat. A loose harness may not adequately protect a child in the event of a motor vehicle crash.

To address this issue, Britax is automatically mailing a free remedy kit to all registered owners of the recalled car seats who submit their details in the form on this page. The remedy kit includes one (1) non-toxic food-grade lubricant, a label indicating that the remedy has been completed, as well as an instruction sheet for applying the lubricant to the harness adjuster button (red).

Refer to the following link for detail instructions.

Click here for the recall notice.

If a consumer confirms that their harness straps remain securely tensioned, they can continue to use their car seat until their remedy kit arrives. If an owner cannot get the shoulder straps to remain in place, then Britax recommends against using the car seat until the lubricant has been applied.

ONLY THE SEATS WITH THIS CLICKTIGHT DIAL ARE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL
NOTE:
No other ClickTight products are included in this recall.  If your Britax product has a different model number than the model numbers listed above, it is NOT included in this recall.
